Birthday!

47 years ago today, at 05:24, I made my first appearance in this world. It's weird how birthdays seem to get less important the older you get. When you were young, it was SUCH a big day. Anticipated as much as Christmas. As you get older it's more of a day to "parrrrr-teeee". Now it's almost just another day. Hell, I even forgot it was my birthday! How sad is that! LOL Lots of birthday wishes from friends near and far.
On another note, Dupre got news that one of his Uncles (Bill Neef) is in the hospital with a broken leg. He was getting out of a golf cart and his thighbone broke just under the hip. Dupre is going to drive out there tomorrow and see him in the hospital. So much for my birthday dinner at Pappa's tomorrow.
Melodie has been raving about this Pomegranate Martini that's pre-mixed. I bought some today on the way home, it is pretty good, but pretty sweet too. I'd prolly have a hellacious hangover if I was drinking THOSE all night!! I also bought a $5.00 scratch-off (did not win a thing) and $5.00 of quick picks for the lottery tonight, did not win a thing on that either. So much for feeling lucky on my birthday!
